Convicted businessmen Mike Chimombe has revealed that he has three wives and 15 children who are all minors.
He said that he used to earn an average of US$15,000 to US$20,000 per month before he was arrested. He owns two houses, one in Borrowdale worth US$800,000 and another in Chinhoyi, with an estimated value of US$120,000.
Chimombe claims
he only managed to get as far as O-Level, in terms of his education, before
joining politics and owning several businesses.
The Herald
reports that Chimombe and Moses Mpofu were pleading their case in a
pre-sentencing hearing yesterday, which spilled well into the night. The State
wants the paid jailed for 35 years.
