Zanu PF spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa says the party’s position on the co-option of new members has not been pronounced.
The party’s
legal secretary Patrick Chinamasa has said that five people have been co-opted
into the central committee.
Mutsvangwa told
The Standard that he is the one responsible for communicating the party’s
position. “Don't you think it’s best to check with him! I am sure you may have
all the more questions you may have for him,” Mutsvangwa said when he was asked
for his reaction to Chinamasa’s statements. “I am Zanu PF spokesperson. I will surely not
speak for Chinamasa. My import is to speak for the party and its president.
Would you need his cell contacts?”
