The celebrity couple were in court yesterday where Chikonye
was charged with Domestic Violence. He was released on free bail and will be
back in court on November 23.
The court heard that Charumbira was asleep when Chikonye returned home from work. He woke her up and demanded to go through her phone to check her calls. She refused. Chikonye then rained blows on Charumbira before trying to suffocate her with a pillow.
Charumbira fell to the floor and sustained injuries. She
then reported the matter to Borrowdale police.
