Wasu who was with her throughout broke down as she was
being taken away. H Metro reports that Mai TT did not rise when everyone was
asked to stand up as the magistrate was leaving.
She still faces a US$10 000 fraud charge in August. She had
been set for community service but it all changed when a previous conviction
was revealed. She had denied ever being convicted for assault when questioned
by a community service officer.
The State had to research eight years of records at the
National Archives to confirm that Mai TT had defaulted on community service.
