Jah Prayzah’s firm has been dragged to court for not submitting tax returns. Jah Prayzah Entertainment was fined for contravening the provisions of the Income Tax and Value Added Tax Act.
H Metro reports that the company was represented by
Fortunate Desouza, who pleaded guilty to the offence on behalf of the company
before Magistrate Tafadzwa Miti. The company was ordered to pay a fine of $18
000 on each count.
The company was not submitting income tax returns or paying
VAT. No income tax returns were submitted for 2019, and there was no VAT
payment from October 2018 to January 2021.
