A diasporan says he has been duped by his own daughter who
registered the house he built in her name and her husband’s.

Corbett Magono says he sent his daughter, Unity Magono, up to US$33 000 for
the construction of a house for the past two years.
“I have been sending my daughter money for the past two
years and l instructed her to buy a stand and develop it. I work in the UK so l
wanted a house back home so that l will have a property when l return home for
good. When I came back, l was shocked to find out that she registered the house
in her name and her husband’s.”
“I am reporting her to the police. She must be arrested
because this is theft. I have proof of messages of our communication and proof
of the money l was sending her through World Remit,” he told H Metro.
Unity denied all the allegations and refused to comment
further.
