“Depression is something that I have dealt with, I think I
am coming to 30 years of dealing it. This is probably the first time that I
have sought help or I have spoken about it openly. I was in a dak place, asking
Nelsy for a divorce was hoping that she wouldn’t be around, she could be out of
my life and just hate me so that I could go through a life of being self
destructive, I was going to do something to myself. I don’t know if I was going
to follow through with it.
But I certainly was
in that place where I didn’t want my wife waking up one morning and finding
that her husband had done something bad. It would have been better if her ex
husband had done something bad. Fortunately for me I do have a very stubborn
wife, Nelsy, just as we were talking about it we realised that there is a lot
of things that we let into our lives that were causing us problems. I am surrounded
by douchebags.
Yes we were headed for a divorce but not what people think.
We were not getting along but the reasons why we were not getting along was the
level of my depression was such that we couldn’t open up and talk to anyone,
she couldn’t talk to anyone.
