Businessman Alex Mashamhanda of Mashwede Holdings has lost his mother and driver due to Covid-19 related complications. They died on the same day.
Mashamhanda’s driver Edwin Matemba died in the
morning and Mbuya Mashamhanda (94) who was staying at the village in Chivi
followed a few hours later at 1pm.
Masvingo Mirror reports that more than 50 people in
Mashamhanda Village were tested by medics sponsored by Mashamhanda and 17 of
them were positive to Covid-19.
Mbuya Mashamhanda was blessed with nine children, 31
grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild which
means she saw five generations.
