President Museveni has said he would "accept the results" if he lost the election.
"Uganda is not my house. If I lose election I will go
to my house and do my own thing if the views of Uganda don't want me to help
them with their issues...I go and deal with my personal issues very
happily," Mr Museveni told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.
President @KagutaMuseveni of Uganda is running for a sixth term in an election that has been marred by violence and brutal crackdowns by security officials. Will he accept the results if he loses this week? “Of course,” he tells me, “because Uganda is not my house.” pic.twitter.com/WHfNS3XAVw
