A Zimbabwean law student is rotting in a Namibian jail
after being arrested for alleged armed robbery.
Shane Moyo has been in remand prison for the past two
years. Moyo was part of a group six foreign nationals
arrested in November 2017 in connection with the armed robbery of a security
guard at the Westlane Lifestyle Centre in Windhoek.
According to the Namibian Police Force, four of the
suspects were intercepted and arrested while in transit to Rehoboth and two
were arrested in Windhoek.
But Moyo’s family insist that there is no evidence of this
alleged armed robbery and “this case has taken so long as the judges keep
postponing his trial for no rational reasons.”
The family is now campaigning to have him released. You can
