Anthony Joshua is set to pocket the biggest ever pay day
for a British boxer, a whooping $85 million, when he takes on Andy Ruiz Jr in
Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.
Andy Ruiz Jnr will go home with $13million even if he wins
or loses the bout. Anthony Joshua will attempt to regain his WBA, IBF and WBO
Heavyweight titles he lost to Ruiz Jr back in June at Madison Square Garden.
The Mexican boxer defeated Joshua in the seventh-round to hand British/Nigerian
boxer his first professional loss.
Joshua was keen to play down the size of his earnings,
saying: "When you look at it, out of every hundred quid, a lot goes to the
taxman and a lot to the trainers and the team.
"Before you know it, what you're left with in reality
is about 30 to 40 per cent.
