ZACC officials have arrested the former Principal Director
at the State Residence, Douglas Tapfuma. He faces allegations of criminal abuse
of office, concerning the importation of vehicles.
He is detained at Mabelreign Police station in Harare and
his lawyer, Valentine Mutatu said Tapfuma will appear in court tomorrow.
This becomes the second high profile arrest after that of
Minister Prisca Mupfumira last week, who is also facing criminal abuse of
office charges involving US$95 million allegedly siphoned from the National
Social Security Authority (NSSA).
