Linda Masarira has been expelled from the MDC-T led by Thokozani Khupe for wearing Zanu PF regalia.

Linda has confirmed the expulsion which was with immediate effect: “The Standing Committee consequently, subsequently and unanimously agreed and resolved that your membership of the MDC-T should be immediately terminated and also that you are IMMEDIATELY expelled from the MDC-T party in accordance with the provisions of Article 5.10(a) as read with the provisions of Annexure C , Section 2.1 (a), (b) and (i) of the Constitution of the MDC-T.

“As a very senior member of the party who also sits in the highest administrative body of the party,  the National Standing Committee, it was unanimously decided and resolved that your afore-mentioned transgressions clearly and unequivocally established that you had deserted the MDC-T and that you had supported another political party whose regalia you wore,” a party statement read.

“We meet to part and part to meet; I am not going to challenge the expulsion as it will put me at the same level of myopia, tomfoolery and intolerance. It is difficult to exist in an establishment where guns are always out blazing on you. I came, I served and got fired.

“I am now moving on with my vision for Zimbabwe which I had put on hold to assist a sister Thokozani Khupe who was facing a lot of abuse from misogynists in Zimbabwe’s political landscape.

“Unfortunately she succumbed to pressure from some sheep in wolves clothing posing as loyalists,” said Linda.
