Bridget Zireni, who had an 18kg mass removed from her stomach last
year has died. According to the ZBC, Bridget (15) succumbed to cancer on her
birthday on Sunday at her rural home under Mhete village in Murambinda, Buhera.
Bridget was operated at Chitungwiza Central Hospital for
free. After recovering from
the operation, she was discharged and went home but became
ill again after seven months.
She went back to Chitungwiza Central Hospital in March this
year and was diagnosed with cancer which had spread.
