In the Accident & Emergency Unit, there was no doctor attending to patients from 5.30pm to 9pm. Patients on stretcher beds & wheelchairs were groaning in pain unattended for hours. Unbelievable! I was told by a nurse that on a typical 6-hour shift, there's only 1 Dr available.— Brezh Malaba (@BrezhMalaba) March 31, 2019
I spoke to many patients. Some told me they had been waiting in the hospital corridors since mid-day. But I must say I was impressed by the dread-locked doctor who came in at 9pm and, with impressive efficiency & professionalism, attended to a scrum of restless patients— Brezh Malaba (@BrezhMalaba) March 31, 2019
The shocking spectacle continued when I realised that the poorly stocked pharmacy doesn't have some basic drugs. Where would the average Zimbabwean get the forex to buy medicines in expensive pharmacies in town? Govt officials must come clean. Cheap propaganda has its limits.— Brezh Malaba (@BrezhMalaba) March 31, 2019
