Two Zimbabweans have escaped from police custody in South
Africa. Police say Talent Machinda and Felix Mlambo were part of a group of six who bolted out of police cells.
North West Police have now appealed for request community
assistance in tracing six awaiting trial prisoners who escaped from custody in
the early hours of Thursday at Hartbeespoortdam Police cells.
According to information, the six (6) accused escaped by
sawing through the burglar proofing. Their names are Felix Mlambo (26), Ciphus
Shilenge (26), Henry Sithole (22), Charles Chauke (34), Talent Machinda (25) as
well as Paul Samuel Mozite (24). They were detained for various offences
including murder, house and business robberies and possession of unlicensed
firearms and ammunition. Members of the community are further urged not to
approach or apprehend or confront the escapees as they are considered to be
dangerous.
Anyone with information that may lead to re-arrest of the
escapees can call the nearest police station or contact the Investigating
