Genius Kadungure will spend the weekend in jail after a Harare magistrate denied him bail. The State had consented to bail for the socialite and businessman but the magistrate said he was a flight risk since he was established in South Africa.

Ginimbi is facing six charges, among them tax evasion and money laundering. Ginimbi is said to have declared to Zimra sales for his company totalling $2 777 678. But investigations established that the sales were $9 092 951.

He will be back in court on November 30.
