Former rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight is facing
28 years in jail after pleading no contest to manslaughter charges.
He was charged in connection with the death of a man during
a hit-and-run incident after a confrontation on the set of the movie biopic
"Straight Outta Compton."
Knight, 53, is scheduled to be sentenced October 4 and in
exchange for his plea, prosecutors are calling for a sentence of 28 years in
prison. Two other criminal cases against Knight will be dismissed at
sentencing.
Knight had faced one count of murder for the death of Terry
Carter and one count of attempted murder in the case of Cle "Bone"
Sloan, who was maimed after Knight allegedly struck the pair with his truck.
Knight was facing life in jail.
