Apparently Wicknell did not report at the CID Commercial Crime Division on Monday. As part of his bail conditions he is supposed to report twice a week.
Cops are insisting that he absconded but Wicknell said he was told the CCD was not open as it was a public holiday.
But he was told dozens of other people had reported on that day because the CCD was open 24 hours a day.
The magistrate is expected to rule on the matter.
