Wicknell Chivayo is now going to have his day in court after the acting Prosecutor General Mr Kumbirai Hodzi ordered his prosecution.He stands accused of defrauding Zimbabwe Power Company of $5,6 million. He received the money for pre-commencement work, but failed to deliver. Mr Hodzi said investigations into Chivayo’s matter were now complete and he will appear in court soon.
“The Acting Prosecutor General having considered criminal dockets pertaining to one Wicknell Chivayo has directed the police to bring him to court for a formal court appearance at Harare Magistrates Court immediately,” reads a statement from the National Prosecuting Authority.
