Chalton Hwende will be the MDC candidate for Kuwadzana East, the party has confirmed. Hwende was locked in a fierce battle with Vanguard boss, Shakespeare Mukoyi.

MDC chairman, Morgen Komichi said :" We made a decision in  Kuwadzana East. We made a decision out of what happened last week, so Chalton Hwende is the candidate. In Chikanga-Dangamvura, the same thing, there was a lot of violence and we have done out assessment and analysis and Prosper Mutseyami in the candidate."

Mutseyami was tussling against Women's League boss, Lynette Karenyi. Komichi also confirmed that Tsvangirai's daughter, Vimbai is the candidate for Glen View.
