Vice President, Chiwenga’s wife, Mary has today been
campaigning for her mother who is fighting to win the ticket to
represent Zanu PF in the Seke constituency.
Her mother, Mrs Helga Mubaiwa is battling it out against
incumbent Phineas Chihota, Munyaradzi Kashambe, Dananai Chikanya and Godfrey Mawarure.
Mrs Chiwenga who was at Marikopo Secondary School :“I am impressed by the number of women who
are taking part in the party’s primary elections which shows that women are
ready to take up leadership positions in society,” she said.
He mother said it’s time women took up leadership positions
in society.
“For a long time we have lived in the shadows of our male
counterparts and it’s now time get involved in developmental issues."
