The First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa is in New York to attend a United Nations conference on women.

 The First Lady is accompanied by Minister of Women and Youths Affairs,Sithembiso Nyoni, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Mable Chinomona, legislators that include Mrs Paurina Mupariwa, Minister of State for Manicaland province Monica Mutsvangwa, and NGOs, among others.

 The 2-week conference is expected to look at the progress made in empowering women and girls who live in rural areas.
