Former president, Robert Mugabe has emerged for the first
time to face the media. He is still a very bitter man, saying he was still a
very popular leader.
He insists that only the MDC people in Harare had marched
against him. He said he did not want to resign but was urged to do so by his wife, Grace. He said he wanted the matter to be settled at congress.
He denies responsibility for Gukurahundi saying Zapu had arms caches and he had to act.
Mugabe is speaking for the first time since November
