A Zimbabwean student has died in Poland and his body is now
stuck in that country with the family struggling to raise the funds to
repatriate his body.
Sisonke Ndlovu was diagnosed with pneumonia and he rapidly
deteriorated until his death on February
4. Sisonke got a scholarship to study Civil Engineering in Poland through Zimbabwe
Scholarship Trust in Bulawayo in September 2017.
He was asked to pay insurance of $200 by the agent who
facilitated the scholarships along with more than 30 other students to cover them in
case of ill health and death. But it has turned out the insurance was fake.
The family is struggling to raise £8000 to repatriate his
body to Zimbabwe. Hismother travelled to Poland to understand how her son died
but has been stranded there trying to raise money to take her son's body to
Zimbabwe. You can help the family here https://www.gofundme.com/body-repatriation-to-zimbabwe
