Acting MDC leader, Nelson Chamisa will convene a presser
tomorrow over the violence perpetrated against party leaders in Buhera on
Tuesday.
The acting President has already instructed the party’s
security and intelligence unit to compile a comprehensive report over the violence
against Vice President Dr. Thokozani Khupe, Secretary-general Douglas Mwonzora
and organising secretary Abednigo Bhebhe.
Chamisa is under pressure to show that he is not turning
out to be a little Mugabe who cowed political opponents using violence.
Some Zimbabweans have been taken aback by the young politician’s sudden
arrogance and abruptness.
In a few days gone is the humble Chamisa who despised the politics
of personalities and the big man. Many Zimbabweans across social media are
agreed that the massive support for Chamisa might have overwhelmed the young
man and gone to his head.
They say what he will do from now on will determine whether he will
go down the Robert Mugabe route or take a fresh path.
