A Gweru man was shocked when he returned from South Africa to find two women living in his house.
He had locked it when he went away some six months ago. The two broke in and stayed until last week. Nkosiyabo Hove who works in South Africa found Shantell Ncube (23) and Precious Mashonjowa (24) in his house and reported the case to the police. The intruders were hauled before a magistrate facing unlawful entry and unauthorised use of property.
The pair pleaded guilty and were sentenced to nine months in prison of which one month was suspended on condition that they restitute Mr Hove $167 that they incurred in water charges during the unlawful stay by January 31, 2018.
