Some 40 Mutare Boys High School pupils have had their Ordinary Level results withheld because of suspected cheating.
Reports from the school say that seven students were caught
with answers written on pieces of paper. The number rose to 40.
Provincial education director Edward Shumba told the Manica Post that pending
the outcome of the investigations, the results would remain withheld.
“This is a country-wide thing, According to an
investigation conducted by ZIMSEC, Mutare Boys High School is also among the
schools with students who were caught cheating. I do not have the actual number
of students who were caught cheating.
“I urge students to desist from cheating and work hard. Those
students who were caught cheating, will not receive their results,” he said.
