A well known surgeon, Dr Nehemiah Tapererwa Munyoro has died after suffering heart failure.

He was 79.  Dr Munyoro was a renowned specialist doctor in gynaecology and obstetrics who served the community of Bulawayo since 1966. During his career spanning five decades, Dr Munyoro worked at Mpilo Central Hospital, United Bulawayo Hospitals and Mater Dei Hospital as a consultant and specialist doctor.

Prior to his death, Dr Munyoro had retired from public practice and was now operating a private surgery in the city. Born in Chiweshe in Mashonaland Central, Dr Munyoro is survived by wife Janet, a son and several grandchildren.

He is expected to be buried today at Lady Stanley Cemetery in Bulawayo.
