Some 40 passengers cheated death when this Interstate bus plunged into a river in South Africa.The bus was travelling from the Thaba Nchu depot to Merino Trust in Thaba Nchu when the accident happened on Sunday morning. One of the passengers, Mamohapi Mawala (39), said they were sitting quietly, enjoying their journey when suddenly the bus started to swerve.
The driver lost control and drove into the Tiger River. Mamohapi said: “The bus drove over a bridge. Luckily the herdsmen who were not far from the bridge managed to help us get out of the water.” daily sun
